My name is Mike Boehret. I am a Southern California Baby Boomer. I was raised in Burbank, California and attended Burbank High School.
After graduation I attended Glendale Community College where I luckily met the girl who would become my best friend and life long partner, Pamela Welmon. After attending classes at California State University Northridge I married Pamela in 1967. We have three children, Jason, Tiffany, and Ryan. They are adults now and have blessed us with grandchildren, Luke, Cassidy, Niko, Scott, Jimmy, Michael, and Adam.
I was a Fine Arts major in college and initially pursued a career in poster design. I spent time as a real estate agent but ultimately became a successful software developer. I’m currently retired but keep busy with interests in writing, art projects, and assisting Pamela with her online business. I regularly attend The West Presbyterian Church in Burbank as a devoted follower of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I have authored two books prior to writing Saving Grace. The first is titled “Anna’s Boardinghouse”. It is a compilation of true events depicting the saga of a family living in Los Angeles during the depression years. The second is a children’s book titled “Patience the Pig”. I also contribute to and maintain a website: www.musedroppings.com It contains a number of poems covering various topics.
